Mukund Padmanabhan
Mukund Padmanabhan is the Senior Associate Editor of The Hindu. He
writes editorials and articles for the newspaper on a range of
subjects, including on legal and literary matters, and also oversees
some of its features sections that cover arts, books, food and
city-related events, He writes a fortnightly wine column for the
newspaper, has overseen the production of a food guide for Chennai,
and is a founder-member of the Madras Wine Club. Mukund is a graduate
in economics and later switched to philosophy, which he studied at the
University of Delhi and the London School of Economics.
He is based in Chennai, the newspaper's headquarters. He is an adjunct
faculty of the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines, for
which he teaches law for its Master's programme. He also organises an
annual international theatre and international music festival on
behalf of his newspaper. Among his hobbies are reading and golf.
